Overview
FridaHS Joyería designs and sells unique jewelry and accessories, with a secondary business line that lets entrepreneurs resell their pieces. I built and maintain their online store on WordPress + WooCommerce.
What I Built
- A full WooCommerce catalog organized by category — rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and accessories.
- Product variations for personalized, made-to-order items (e.g. custom engraved lockets), so customers configure a piece before adding it to cart.
- National and international shipping (Mexico and the USA) with appropriate shipping zones and rates.
- A clean, brand-forward storefront highlighting their value props: unique designs and quality materials (316L stainless, surgical steel, gold plate).
Tech & Hosting
- WordPress / WooCommerce, custom theme work in PHP/CSS.
- Managed hosting with automated TLS and backups.
- MercadoPago payment gateway integration through a vendor-certified channel.
What I Learned
- How to account for different logistics solutions when delivering to out-of-reach areas on a zip code basis.
- The exponential complexity of tying multiple SKUs to a single base product.
- The challenges associated with different browsers when employing optimization techniques.
